Because the goal of the program is not to provide health coverage, as it causes more people to end up without insurance than it covers. The goal of the program is to turn 1/6 (I think that's correct) of the economy over to government. Republicans don't want to take over the economy, the democrats do. They want to control every aspect of your life.

They are going to have to release a lot of convicts to make room for people who don't wear a mask.

I would love Trump ro move over, that would definitely give it some critical mass. Many many would follow him there for real, and many more would at least sign up to pay attention to him (e.g. press people and other politicos). Decent twitter competition would be nice.

Moderna has delayed its upcomg phase 3 and oxford/astra Zeneca which have already have a phase 3 going have sent out some disturbing messages that they have had mixed immune responses to their vaccine. These are the two main candidate companies. I was trying to be optimistic that we will hit the winter with a potential winner but I’m having doubts now.

A black man was arrested!! Where are the mobs of protesters demanding this upstanding citizen be released? Why is the building not on fire?? This must have happened in one of those damned Republican run towns....

Retinal Vascular Disorders are pretty commonly associated with high blood pressure and diabetes, the two largest comorbidities impacted by COVID. As George has pointed out multiple times, COVID is a vascular disease. and it would be surprising if some people didn’t develop vision issues.
